Marshall Roupp, Lead Consultant
Thoughtful, caring approach
Marshall has been working in mental health since 2000 and began learning about the subject in his formative years. He has spent a lifetime working with young people in ways that help them feel seen, heard, and understood.
Years of classroom experience
Marshall has more than a decade of experience working in a variety of general and special education environments. Direct experience in the classroom and in leadership roles helped him see what works and what does not.
Coaching
Throughout his career in education, Marshall was identified for his leadership and communication skills. He was frequently selected to lead professional development and training for his fellow educators. He has experience working with MTSS, PBIS, Restorative Discipline, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and other school wide systems of support.
Guidance
Preparing for college is a big job, especially when considering the loss of special education services. Making sure the documents you have prior to graduation are in order, evaluating your college plan to make sure it includes necessary supports, and having a full understanding of your available resources are all essential parts of the transition. Marshall has years of experience helping students at all points in this process.
Advocacy
The fundamental needs for students need to be met before they can open their minds to learn. This means looking for paths around perceived constraints and always speaking to the best interest of the student rather than fitting them into preconceived supports. Marshall consistently puts his students at the center of his work.
